Dr. Ronald Dachelet
Dr. Ronald Dachelet came to Anniston after graduating from UAB School of Optometry in 1973 and worked for Dr. Donald Springer before opening his own clinic in 1977.
He has been married for over 40 years and has 4 children. Dr. Dachelet is a Vietnam Veteran and has been very active in the Anniston area through Rotary, Jaycees, Sacred Heart Catholic School & Church and the Anniston Country Club.
He has recently started slowing down to begin to pass the torch to his oldest daughter, Dr. Dawn Wilczek.
Dawn Dachelet Wilczek, O.D. is a native of Anniston, AL attending Sacred Heart Catholic Elementary School and Donoho High School. She earned her undergraduate degree from Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC while on a tennis scholarship. Dr. Wilczek then graduated from the UAB School of Optometry in 2003, with her Doctorate Degree.
She came back to Anniston, AL and has enjoyed practicing with her father, Dr. Ronald Dachelet, at Anniston Eye Clinic. Dr. Wilczek is active in the community, her church and her daughter's school by participating in Anniston Rotary, Junior League of Anniston-Calhoun, Sacred Heart Catholic Church choir, Sacred Heart School PTO (Treasurer), member of the Board of Directors of 2nd Chance for three years, Chair of the City of Anniston Industrial Development Authority (IDA) and she is a Leadership Calhoun County (LCC) alumnus.
She has been married to Thomas Wilczek since 1999 and they have a daughter, Abigail. She feels very blessed to be working in a profession that she loves and where she is able to improve and make a difference in so many lives.
